Free Spirit Therapeutic Services
We offer Play Therapy for children aged 3-11 years, working directly with families who are struggling with their child's emotional/behavioural problems at home or at school.
Free Spirit Therapeutic Services provide a confidential, high quality service offering support for individuals or groups. As an extension of play therapy, Free Spirit Therapeutic Services provide an attachment based programme to parents/carers called Filial Play Coaching. This offers a unique opportunity for the parent/carer and their child to reconnect and strengthen their relationship and communication with one another. This programme can be used to help children under the age of 3 years as well as children aged 3-11 years.
Play therapy benifits children who:
have low confidence/self esteem
have suffered attachment issues
display withdrawn behaviour
display low concentration
display inappropriate behaviour
have suffered a bereavement
have suffered as a result of divorced/separated parents
have poor emotional regulation
present poor relationships with siblings
have displayed conflict with peers
have autism or a disability
have suffered bullying or have been a bully
have experienced nightmares or disturbed sleep
are fostered
