About us
My aim is to give you a world class exclusive dining experience.
I began in 1975 within the Indian Hospitality Business training in my mother's restaurant "The Star of India" in Middlesbrough. Since then I moved to London where I had the pleasure of training with Jolsha of Kensington, Twickenham and Farnbrough. During my tenure with Jolsha, it was my privilege to serve many celebrities and royalty.
My journey brought me back to Middlesbrough where I opened several restaurants, most notably the "Jewel in the Crown".
I was recognised in 2004 for my contributions and dedication to the Indian Hospitality Business and other local businesses by HRH Queen Elizabeth II, being invited to the Royal Garden Party.
With this experience The Massala is committed to providing you with the highest level of service and quality.
