At Brown Beer Nixon Mallon, we do not try to be Jack-of-all-trades. Our six partners are highly experienced professionals specialising in specific areas of the law. The firm was formed in Spring 2004 with the merger of two well-established legal firms, Brown Beer & Co, of Redcar, and Nixon Mallon, the criminal law division of Middlesbrough-based Askews Nixon Mallon. Now one of the bigger solicitor practices in the Teesside area, we have offices in Middlesbrough and Redcar, and our partners are supported by a team of junior solicitors, legal executives and accredited Police Station Representatives, as well as administrative staff. Our criminal solicitors are Duty Solicitor accredited, and family solicitors are members of the Solicitors` Family Law Association, and the Law Society`s Family Law Panel and Children's Panel.

Everyone accused of a crime has the right in law to a strong and committed defence. Brown Beer Nixon Mallon handles a wide range of criminal matters from minor road traffic infringements, dealt with in the Magistrates' Court, to the most serious criminal offences, in the Crown Court, including murder. While our work is concentrated in courts in and around the former county of Cleveland, we can provide representation anywhere in England and Wales. We also operate a 24-hour service, 365 days a year. We provide representation at every stage of the legal process, from police investigation and arrest, to court proceedings at the highest level, including Court of Appeal and House of Lords. Franchised by the Legal Service Commission, we can offer Free Legal Advice and representation under the Legal Aid scheme to those who are eligible. Where Legal Aid is not available, we also offer very competitive rates for private clients.
