Mr Shifter - Removals and Storage.

We are a friendly family run business trading with the Teeside and Darlington area.



We offer an efficient service at competitive rates, which includes goods in transit and full liability cover.



For any storage requirements we have five secure, purpose built warehouses within which your furniture is stored in individual wooden containers.



We are specialists in business and domestic removals, this includes full office removals and office reorganisation with this area and nationwide. Our staff are friendly and fully trained in all aspects of the removal business.

All commercial and office removals are charged on an hourly basis or fixed price which would take into account the number of staff required to complete your work within the required timescale.



All prices are plus VAT. All commercial and office removals are payable by cash or cheque as previously agreed with Mr Shifter Removals at the time of booking.Mr Shifter Removals specialise in containerised storage of household and commercial goods. We currently operate five storage warehouse facilities. Goods are loaded into containers at the customers premises or at our warehouse facilities.

Each container is 250 cubic feet and is specially designed for this type of work.


Storage is charged on a weekly basis per container. Should you wish, you may bring your items to our facility for containerisation by our staff. An hourly handling charge is made in all such cases.

We pride ourselves on the fact that the majority of our business comes from the personal recommendation of satisfied former customers.



All our local and long distance work is quoted on a fixed price quote, we would recommend this and we would send an estimator to your premises to carry out a free, no obligation assessment and quotation.



If you require, we are able to provide cartons, transit robes, bubble wrap, tape and packing paper for your removal. Local removal customers are charged a small deposit per box and 50% refund is made on all boxes returned to company with the exception of tape, packing paper or any other non-reusable items.



Distance removal customers are quoted prices to include required packing materials on a purchase basis as it is not possible to collect such customers boxes once they have unpacked.



All removal prices quoted or charged are plus VAT. Unless otherwise stated the price we quote on an hourly basis or as a fixed price provides the customer with a vehicle and a two man crew. If you feel that you would like to use extra men on your move we can arrange this for you. Likewise, if we feel your request demands more manpower we shall quote accordingly.
